As many of you may know I’m a huge fan of the mechwarrior series of games and with mechwarrior online just around the corner my excitement level is getting pretty high. Who could blame me as it’s a fast paced team based strategic shooter with giant fricking robots where you can customize them to your liking with different weapon load outs etc. You have to take into consideration things like the heat generated by the different part as well as the terrain your going to be deployed in, it has a bit of everything for everyone in it.
Some of you may of heard that they have a founders program that there running at the moment where you can pre pay for some niffty stuff (list of whats included below) and early access well now they have gone and upped the ante on this even more as when you become a founder you now get instant access to the closed beta as well.

I’m not sure how much longer there going the founders program is going to be available as the early access begins on the 7th of august so if your interested get buying now you can click here for the link the game when it finally launches is going to run a freemium model which may put a few of you off but what you would be paying for as fair as whats known is it will be for one of the two in game currencies and xp boosts but all the stuff you would buy with the ii game money you pay for can be brought through grinding out the other currency and just to wet your appetite a little below is a gameplay trailer for this awesome game I hope to see you on the battlefield soon pilots.

Looks cool. As you said Im not the biggest fan of the payment model, but if the games good enough then maybe it’ll warrant some investment
Also watched the trailer…. “Did he just blow off that robot’s arm, omg he did lolololol”
lol yeah you can blow arms and legs off if you damage that part enough. I’m hoping the free to play system wont be too broken as all the weapons and upgrades are paid for only with the money you earn in the game, the pay for money is just to buy xp boosts and in game currency boosts. You can pay for mechs with it too but you can also buy the mechs with the free money, which once you find one class you like you will probably stick to it anyway and keep changing loadouts etc.
